The first regional meeting of the National Training Coordinators (NTC) took place in early January 2004 in Kingston, Jamaica. Sixteen persons attended, including the technical team form I-TECH who worked on aspects of the Needs assessment Tools and the Monitoring and Evaluation framework, and UWI HARP/CHART staff. Further meetings are scheduled quarterly, as well as site visits by staff from the RCU.
The Monitoring and Evaluation Team is meeting in early February to fine-tune the Access based system CHART will be using to track its trainings and ensure follow-up of CHART Graduates.

In April 2004, the second NTC meeting was held, in which the team discussed current workplans and objectives.
CHART/CDC/I-TECH TOT Workshop March 31 - April 2, 2004 in Kingston, Jamaica had a total of 32 trainers from 10 countries who were trained and empowered to train others!
Dental TOT Workshop April 13 – 15, 2004 in Montego Bay Jamaica: 16 Oral Healthcare Providers from across Jamaica enrolled in a capacity building workshop to review various aspects of HIV/AIDS management.
Health Care Worker Trainings continued in other CHART Centres.
Clinical Conference June 16- 19, 2004 in Montego Bay Jamaica: This was a multi-disciplinary conference including Caribbean health care providers such as physicians, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, psychologists PLWAs and more. There were over 350 participants from 29 countries
